As we recover from the busy holiday season, the big football parties are quickly approaching — and for many of us, the food is the main event.
I’m not a football fan; I’ve tried watching it many times and never got into it. I do, however, never miss the Super Bowl commercials.
What I’m truly enthusiastic about is game day food. Today I’ve put together a fun roundup of Game Day Treats for you to enjoy.
But first, a few announcements about some exciting changes coming to Foodie Fridays.
Name Change
Foodie Fridays is becoming Foodie Fridays and DIY. Many of you have been sharing DIY projects along with recipes, and several other food link parties accept DIY content now. It makes sense to officially include DIY in the name so the party can showcase both food and creative projects.
A Group Board for Foodie Friday & DIY Participants
We’re converting the Foodie Fridays (and now DIY) Pinterest board into a group board and opening it to participants. After you link up, please add or schedule your pins to the board.
The board will have a few basic rules listed on it. They’re standard community guidelines; spammers will be removed, so please follow the rules.
If you’d like to join now, after linking up send an email to mila@https://girlandthekitchen.com to request an invite. You must be following me on Pinterest to be added, and you will also need to follow the other co-hosts on Pinterest.
In the subject line, write: Requesting Invite – Foodie Fridays and DIY Group Board.
That’s it — let’s get reading!
GAME ON!
I’m a huge fan of wings. For me, no game day spread is complete without them. Since I’m following a very low-carb, high-fat ketogenic diet, I can enjoy wings guilt-free — a definite win. I received wings from Omaha Steaks and paired them with a tasty dip and a healthy broccoli crunch slaw.
Speaking of wings, Christine from Sprinkle of This and That has a tempting recipe for Baked Parmesan Garlic Wings — they’re calling my name and making me lick my lips already.

I love game-day pizza, but sometimes guests want just a small bite. These Italian Sausage Cannoli from Eat It and Say Yum are a perfect handheld option — think bagel dogs with a pizza twist. Delicious and totally shareable.

No party is complete without a dip. I love a cheesy spinach dip, and Christy’s Three Cheese Spinach Dip looks absolutely perfect for game day.

Being low-carb, breaded crispy chicken is usually off my menu, but The Chunky Chef uses a favorite breading technique that makes these chicken tenders more diet-friendly. They’re ideal for anyone watching carbs but still craving a crunchy bite.

And of course, dessert is essential. Dini from Giramauk’s Kitchen created an incredible Caramelized Hazelnut Praline Chocolate Mousse — rich, decadent, and a perfect ending to any game-day feast.

That’s it for this roundup. Be sure to visit the featured blogs, explore their recipe boards, and check out what they’ve shared this week.
